Glossary of Terms

Photovoltaic Systems (PV): A technology that harnesses solar energy into electrical energy for our use.

Battery Energy Storage System (BESS): A technology that enables power system operators and utilities to store energy for later use.

Blockchain: A system of recording information in a way that makes it difficult or impossible to change, hack, or cheat the system.

Tokenization: The process of issuing a blockchain token that digitally represents a real tradable asset.

Smart Contract: A self-executing contract with the terms of the agreement between buyer and seller directly written into lines of code.

Security Token: A type of token that represents investment in an external, tradable asset.

ERC3643: A set of standards for issuing security tokens on the Ethereum blockchain.

DID (Digital Identity): A decentralized identifiers for verifying digital identities.

Whitelisting: The process of allowing identified entities access to a certain privilege, service, mobility, access or recognition.

KYC (Know Your Customer): The process of a business verifying the identity of its clients.

AML (Anti-Money Laundering): A set of procedures, laws or regulations designed to stop the practice of generating income through illegal actions.
